The last of the NWP (New WarShip Program) that lead to the introduction of the Fredassa class corvette and the Nightlord class Battleship, the Thebes class is based on the sadly extinct Luxor class, and is designed to be a general purpose cruiser that would replace the aging Aegis class. Sometimes called a 'Pocket Battleship' due to its size and firepower, built around an array of lasers, particle cannons and autocannons, the Thebes is also heavily defended against hostile fighters and missile strikes.
She can dock and carry four DropShips as well as 20 Areospace fighters.
Seen here is Clan Smoke Jaguars CSJ Scharnhorst, who along with her sister the Gneisenau, were unique variants of the Thebes class. Trading cargo space for a massively reinforced hull and thicker hull plating, giving them armour levels above almost anything else constructed at the cost of limited endurance as well as being harder to repair once damaged.
Only half a dozen of these Cruisers were completed before the NWP was halted when it was found that no WarShips were active in the Inner Sphere by the Wolfs Dragoons.

These ships you get are just amazing, its a shame warships aren't more common or have higher production capability. Always pleasure seeing you upload these designs sharlin. I wonder what would happen if you incoperate these BattleTech designs with technologies from other scifi universe if had the chance.
